About Bounce Metronome
This metronome uses bounces to help you keep in time, just as conductors often do. It's especially easy to clap or play in time with the bounces of a ball when it hits the ground. Bounce Metronome Pro can show bounces following any rhythm, as a drum stick, ball or baton
It's extremely user friendly. Click on the desired rhythm and adjust tempo with the dial.
The bounce helps you to anticipate the beat and play exactly in time with it. Especially useful when you are learning a rhythm with irregular beat patterns.
"It's like having your own personal conductor."
Blind users can play all the rhythms. Deaf musicians can use it as a silent metronome.
Most metronomes can only play rhythms with a steady beat. They may let you see the moment of the tick as well, but the visuals are secondary. You can't use them with the same precision as metronome ticks.
Bounce Metronome overcomes this limitation with its innovative Gravity Bounce Visuals. The reason this works is that it is very easy for us to anticipate the moment when a bouncing ball will hit the ground - and sing, play or clap exactly in time with it.
This was used in the early "Car-tunes" movies. A bouncing ball bounced on the lyrics to help the audience to sing along with the movie. Conductors also use the same technique - they will often bounce the baton off an "invisible plane" which makes it easy for the orchestra to anticipate the exact moment of the beat so that they can play along in time
The result is that you can play exactly in time with the metronome purely visually even without the tick. In fact you can switch off the sound for Bounce Metronome and use it for practice as a silent metronome.
With this innovation it becomes much easier to practise rhythms with swing and irregular beats as it helps you to anticipate the exact moment of the next beat.
That's why it is so suitable for swing rhythms etc. It is like having your own personal conductor to help you keep in time.
